Accommodation
We recommend the Sokos Hotel Helsinki for lodging. We have negotiated a fixed price for ELS conference guests, single and double rooms will each cost 98 € per day. Double room with extra bed will cost 118 €. Breakfast and wireless internet access is included. The hotel is located about 100 meters from the University main building.
You can make the reservation by calling the sales service (+358 20 1234600) or by sending e-mail to sokos.hotels@sok.fi. Mention hotel name ("Sokos Hotel Helsinki") and the code "ELS12" when making the reservation. Another option is that you tell us what kind of room you want as you register, and we will make the reservation. The room is paid upon leaving the hotel. The fixed price is available from Saturday, June 26 to Saturday, July 3.
For budget lodging we recommend the Eurohostel at Katajanokka, also located near the venue.
The persons who have received supported accommodation from us will be staying in the University of Helsinki guest house, located in Vironkatu 1 in downtown Helsinki. The guest house has single and double hotel-like rooms.
From Wednesday to Friday we have reserved cabins on the Silja Serenade ferry for conference guests. The prices are:
- B-class cabin, 11 m2, no window, 1-4 persons, 145 € (total price for the whole cabin and for the whole cruise)
- Promenade-class cabin, 11 m2, window overlooking the inside promenade, 1-4 persons, 181 €
- A-class cabin, 11 m2, sea-view window, 1-4 persons, 196 €
- Family cabin, larger cabin for 5-6 persons (at least 2 children), TV and refrigerator, 220 €
- Commodore-class cabin, 25 m2, balcony, sofa, TV etc., 1-2 persons, 601 €
